Just in case…
I didn’t tag it with anything asian and don’t even pretend its similar to it… Just a girl with white face and the fan.
I don’t want a scandal, like it was last time.

It’s not just the label that’s a problem. I’m disappointed that your motives for change isn’t sincere desire to do better, it’s just “avoiding scandal.” Shame.
-Jack

I already shoot it… The same day I’ve bern shooting other geisha.
So what can I change?
Not bloging is not an option sorry. Its still my work.
Next time I’ll ask a stylist to work harder.
And I want to avoid “scandal” when I’ve been called rasist russian)

Be mindful of the themes you’re using in your photography. If they are your choice, it’s not the stylist’s responsibility.
I’m sorry I’m not fluent enough in Russian to better explain, and this link is in English, but it might help.

Edit- ahhhh I misunderstood, I didn’t see the previous conversation until I looked just now, sorry to assume you’re Russian.

-Jack

Well, situation with that shoot was actually forcemajor and I’ve been called the last moment for that session. I didn’t have any oportunity to take part in style been worked.
And yes, this and last conversations were a lesson for me. I’m not hopeless at this theme.
Thanks for link - it will be usefull in my future careere as a photographer and life as a non racist person.
Peace!

A) This isn’t a Geisha so don’t use the Geisha tag please.

B) Asian Style, really???

C) Just stop. Please.

- Rie

No)

So, here my friends, we have a photographer who could use Japanese culture appropriately within their work but instead likes to stereotype, not do her research, and be racist. Within an industry so creative that she could have done so many creative pieces of work without being insulting. But instead she does not and will probably continue to do this racist work.

-Rie

Girl, she outright said she wouldn’t stop. Fuck this shit.

-Jack

Yeah, this girl is Russian, you’re not gonna get through to her. A lot of my people are very unaware of other cultures (especially POC cultures) and if they are aware they become costumes and jokes. If you tell a Russian they are racist they’d probably just say “yeah so?”. I am extremely embarrassed at how white Russian people treat POC Russians, and if they can treat their own countrymen like shit, they sure as hell won’t give a fuck about Japan.

Wooooooooow, easy! I am UKRAINIAN! And now who’s being racist?
Ok, we will have a dialog.
Live your life and let the others.
I had no intentions to harm anyone’s feelings. I didn’t eve organized that photoshoots. But if I can bring a bit of happines to girls that just for a couple of hours want to look like their favorite imaginary heroes, I wold do that.
Compare this to using english or russian culture in japaneese anime - it has nothing to do with culture in fact, but they like it
So I like my work, lots of people like my work, my clients like my work. Everybody is happy and only you saw here racism and offend…
Keep calm!
Peace to every one!

Hahahaha, I figured you weren’t necessarily Russian but I was, like, “fuck it, if she wants to be a pig and not give a fuck about appropriating cultures, I’ll just assume she’s Russian”. How THE FUCK can I be racist against you? I swear the fucking God honkies will throw “racism!” out like candy wrappers. I highly doubt Ukraine is any better with POCs and their cultures. Europe is racist in general. Again people that are “happy” about your photoshoots are ignorant just like you. It doesn’t matter how much these women wanted to be dressed up as their “favorite imaginary heroes”, because these “imaginary heroes” are not of their fucking culture. I am sick of white girls using the defense “well, I really like it”.

Goooosh… So what I’m white? I had never in my life offended anyone becouse of skin colour, or beliefs, or sexual orientation.
Yes, unfortunately i live in the country with really slow development of social equality, but please, don’t put everyone in one line… We don’t even know each other and I’ve already become the face of “all that white girls”
I repeat - I had no intantion to offend anyone in this so big and so different world. I did my job, i’ve been kindly asked to do, that’s it.
You where the one who started beeing arogant while expressing your point of view, by the way… Belive me, calling me russian in time of russian invasion to my country, was the worst thing you could do.
An ok, i give up. I will remove all the japaneese tags, if i be able to (i don’t know how it works with posts been publushed a year ago) becouse i don’t want to be the part of the conflict.
I am sorry.
And sorry from your side would be lovely too.
I’ve learnd my lesson.
Long live respect to all the cultures and people.
